The Most Economic liveaboard Option To Dive The Fabulous Mergui Archipelago In Myanmar

No trips scheduled for 2023 – 2024. Please check The Smiling Seahorse or The Phinisi

The MV Dolphin Queen is a 3 decked wooden mono hulled boat that runs a few trips every liveaboard season to the remote and exciting diving in Myanmar. The well oiled crew have been doing this for a long time and make this special trip and all it’s logistics run like clockwork.

22 guests are comfortably accommodated in a mix of air-conditioned cabins to suite all budgets. The main deck has 2 double bed, 1 twin and 3 quad share cabins. The twin and quad have separator curtains to give guests a little privacy. The upper deck has two double sea view cabins that have outward facing doors so you can switch off the air-con to enjoy the cool sea breeze at night and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.

Food is particularly good and always gets a positive mention from guests. The European style breakfast is made to order and the rest of the delicious Thai meals are served buffet style in the outside dining area. A free flow of coffee, tea, toast, water, electrolyte drinks and fresh fruit are always available. All food is cooked fresh onboard so if you have any special dietary requirements or are worried about demonic Thai chillies then don’t worry just have a word with the cook.

Wetsuits, fins and mask are included in the trip price so you can leave them at home if you prefer.

Need To Know: Similan And Surin Islands New Rules

Similan and Surin Islands new rules bombshell dropped a few days before the annual reopening. The number of daily visitors has been reduced to 3,850 and divers to just 525. Possibly in reaction to somewhat unflattering images of thousands of tourists packed onto small Similan Island beaches. To ensure that no more divers than the allocated 525 per day enter Similan & Surin Island National Parks. Park tickets must be paid for in advance [...]
