Scuba Diving In Phuket For Beginners

Scuba Diving in Phuket is fantastic for Beginners but where do you start?

It starts with a sense of adventure and a curiosity to enter a world that is completely alien to us. Light, sound and even your own body behave differently under the waves. The first steps may seem daunting but it’s very much worth it. Most divers claim it to be the coolest and most incredible experience they’ve ever had! Scuba diving in Phuket for beginners is simply awesome

Local Dive Thailand has three PADI options available from our dive shop to get you started but which one is for you?

PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience

A simple introduction to diving to see if you like it and most do. There’s no licence at the end of PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme but you’ll get a chance to take your first breaths underwater in a controlled environment under the guidance of a PADI professional.

For who? If you’re a non-swimmer, need a lot of convincing or simply only have a day to spare.

Price from THB 4,500

PADI Scuba Diver Course

After completing this two day PADI Scuba Diver course you will receive a licence to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters under the supervision of a PADI professional. You will begin your scuba diving knowledge development and master skills in the pool and open water to enable you to dive safely under professional supervision.

For who? If you have limited swimming skills, time restraints or just want to take things very slowly.

Price from THB 9,000

PADI Open Water Course

Congratulations! You’re making the full commitment to explore a new world. After three or four days of knowledge development, swimming pool sessions and open water dives you’ll have obtained the PADI Open Water licence and the necessary skills to dive anywhere in the world, rent or buy equipment all without the need of a PADI professional.

For who? Confident swimming skills and a desire to complete this fun and life enriching challenge.

Price from THB 12,500

Hopefully that’s given you an idea of where to start. If so, contact our dive shop in Phuket to begin your scuba diving adventure with our team of dedicated PADI professionals from all over the world!
