Great Weekend Liveaboard Trips to Koh Haa & Hin Daeng

MV Giamani has the smallest guest list of any Thailand Liveaboard. Not a small boat by any means but with only 10 guests onboard you can expect a first class and personal service. In between the Similan Island and Myanmar safari’s MV Giamani runs a short weekend trip to the Southern Andaman sites of Koh Haa, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and the Phi Phi Islands.

You can combine the Similan Island trip with the Koh Haa cruise to make a fantastic 6 Day/6 Night cruise that covers all of the best dive sites in Thailand.

The saloon is air-conditioned and fitted with plenty of media devices to view your photos or video as well as an extensive library of marine life I.D books. Cabins are well laid out and feature en-suite bathrooms, individual air-conditioning units, minibar, fans and reading lights. The Master cabin is located on the upper deck and the remaining four Deluxe cabins on the main deck.

The user friendly dive deck is very comfortable with a camera table and rinse tanks making this a great boat for photographers. Food is plentiful and a great mix of Thai and international dishes are served buffet style on the shaded main deck.

What Are My Chances of Diving With A Manta Ray In Phuket?

Your first diving experience with a manta ray is something you'll never forget. In Phuket we're fortunate enough to get regular visits from these gentle giants, they can turn up virtually anywhere but we do have our favourite spots. Lets be clear, you have to be lucky on our local dive sites but it's by no means impossible. As I'm writing this the last week has produced four sightings all at our favoured spot. Racha Noi island has a manta ray cleaning station at the southern tip, this is a dive site but one we rarely visit due to the very strong currents but the other dive sites on the island get plenty of sightings as the mantas pass on their way to the south tip. They often swim int [...]

False Clown Anemone Fish (Amphiprion ocellaris) At Anemone Reef Rare & Peculiar Critters

Clownfish And Their Dirty Secrets

Finding clownfish/anemonefish in Phuket is not a difficult task for our diving guides, we have four different species of the 28 known that we regularly find, all colourful and all have the quirky clownfish attitude that makes them a favourite with divers but behind the cute colours are some very strange facts. The fish don't hatch with an immunity to the stinging cells of the anemone, when they find their chosen host the juvenile clownfish have to touch it gently with various parts of their body until they eventually get covered with a layer o [...]
