MV Giamani has Great Weekend Liveaboard Trips to Koh Haa & Hin Daeng

MV Giamani has the smallest guest list of any Thailand Liveaboard. Not a small boat by any means but with only 10 guests onboard you can expect a first class and personal service. In between the Similan Island and Myanmar safari’s MV Giamani runs a short weekend trip to the Southern Andaman sites of Koh Haa, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and the Phi Phi Islands.

You can combine the Similan Island trip with the Koh Haa cruise to make a fantastic 6 Day/6 Night cruise that covers all of the best dive sites in Thailand. You’ll see the best scuba diving Phuket has to offer.

The saloon is air-conditioned and fitted with plenty of media devices to view your photos or video as well as an extensive library of marine life I.D books. Cabins are well laid out and feature en-suite bathrooms, individual air-conditioning units, minibar, fans and reading lights. The Master cabin is located on the upper deck and the remaining four Deluxe cabins on the main deck.

The user friendly dive deck is very comfortable with a camera table and rinse tanks making this a great boat for photographers. Food is plentiful and a great mix of Thai and international dishes are served buffet style on the shaded main deck.

huge schools of fish on the king cruiser wreck in phuket

The King Cruiser Wreck Dive

The King Cruiser Wreck's unplanned underwater life began in May 1997. The adventurous captain of the King Cruiser car ferry strayed miles off course on his way to Phi Phi from Phuket. With an incredible feat of marine navigation he 'found' the only submerged reef for miles around. Unfortunately the intrepid captain's wanderlust resulted in a large hole in the ferry and the inevitable consequences. So was created Phuket's first wreck dive. For [...]

What Are My Chances of Diving With A Manta Ray In Phuket?

Your first diving experience with a manta ray is something you'll never forget. In Phuket we're fortunate enough to get regular visits from these gentle giants, they can turn up virtually anywhere but we do have our favourite spots. Lets be clear, you have to be lucky on our local dive sites but it's by no means impossible. As I'm writing this the last week has produced four sightings all at our favoured spot. Racha Noi island has a manta [...]

Weefine Ring Light 3000 Review & Samples

The original Weefine Ringlight was a simple affair, more of a good idea rather than a good product but the upgrades on the latest version have made it a very useful tool indeed. Brightness has been beefed up and strobe, red light and UV light features all make it a great addition to the macro photographers armoury. Along with the ring light itself you'll find a couple of spare o rings a battery charger and a rechargeable 26650 battery. [...]

Why Reef Safe Sunscreen?

We all know that our oceans are under siege, big time! Some of the issues facing our oceans are difficult for us to solve, some require a complete life style change, but the good news is that there is one thing we can all do from the comfort of our computer screens and that is changing the type of sunscreen we use, actually it's a no brainer if you are a scuba diver. Why is changing your sunscreen a "no brainer" for divers? Well that [...]
