Southern Thailand Liveaboard With Deep Andaman Queen

Southern Thailand Liveaboard With Deep Andaman Queen

Dive The Southern Andamans On The Deep Andaman Queen Liveaboard

MV Deep Andaman Queen was built in 2003 and underwent a major overhaul in 2012. She now boasts one of the largest dive platforms of any Andaman liveaboard. This steel hulled twin engine boat has high safety specs and a number of cabin configurations to suit every budget. In 2015 she had a Coltri Sub Nitrox membrane system fitted to ensure every certified nitrox diver has enough for every dive on the trip. They didn’t stop there! In 2019 the boat was completely overhauled and looks completely different. The bow has been completely remodelled so there is much more space.

Cabins, saloon and sundeck have all been refitted to give a much more luxurious feel. Work will be complete for what we’re hoping is another fantastic Similan Island and Myanmar diving season.

Lots of Space Everywhere

The dive deck is split over two levels. A large, spacious kitting up area and a separate dive platform affords plenty of space for everyone. perfect for making your entry into the fabulous dive sites of the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar.

In between dives there are plenty of relaxing areas to choose from. Air-conditioned comfort in the saloon or the outside shaded area and sun deck for divers who prefer to be cooled by the sea breeze.

All the cabins are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. The quad, triple and twin standard cabins are located on the lower deck, double and twin deluxe on the main deck. Let’s not forget the master with its fantastic panoramic views also on the main deck.

Phuket News July 2022

The big Phuket news for July 2022 is the legalisation of cannabis. Laws are somewhat smokey but at the moment it's a free for all. A clarification of the law will come soon but at the moment you can spark up a fat one without the fear of being arrested as long as your not in a public space. Our dive boat is unfortunately a public space so smoking weed is not allow [...]

Wreck Diving In Phuket And Further Afield

Phuket is not well known for wreck diving but we do have a few and some are very good. In one bay at Racha Yai we have 5! Ok, we're using the term wreck a little cheaply for a couple of them but they were boats and now they're on the ocean floor so it's a wreck. Our premier wreck for diving in Phuket. It's the oldest of our recreational diving wrecks and very much worth a visit for all experienced divers. The bottom of the wreck is ove [...]

Great Weather For Phuket Scuba Diving Amazing Local Dives

What Is The Best Phuket Diving Season?

We have two distinct scuba diving seasons in Phuket, imaginatively named low and high. The low season runs from mid May to mid October and high season the remainder of the year. The two seasons are governed by the monsoon winds that blow across South East Asia. It's fairly straightforward; in high season it blows from the east and low season from the west. Well let's start with the low season. The predominant west to east winds bring w [...]
