MV Giamani

MV Giamani

4 Days/4 Nights From THB 48,000

A Stylish Similan Islands Liveaboard

MV Giamani has the smallest guest list of any Thailand Liveaboard. Not a small boat by any means but with only 10 guests onboard you can expect a first class and personal service. As you can imagine finding space to relax between dives is no trouble at all, many guests enjoy the outside cushioned area to maybe read a book and take in the spectacular views of the surrounding Similan and Surin Island National Parks and the uninhabited islands of the Mergui Archipelago.

The saloon is air-conditioned and fitted with plenty of media devices to view your photos or video taken on fantastic dive sites such as Richelieu Rock, Koh Tachai and Koh Bon. With so few guests onboard you have great chance of hitting the dive sites without the usual crowds.

Cabins are well laid out and feature en-suite bathrooms, individual air-conditioning units, minibar, fans and reading lights. The Master cabin is located on the upper deck and the remaining four Deluxe cabins on the main deck.

The user friendly dive deck is very comfortable with a camera table and rinse tanks making this a great boat for photographers. Food is plentiful and a great mix of Thai and international dishes are served buffet style on the shaded main deck.

Another great feature of this boat is the option of staying onboard and enjoying a further two nights at the Southern Andaman dive sites. Making sure you give yourself the very best opportunity for an encounter with some stuff!

Sir Richard Branson is famed for saying that you "should train your staff so that they could leave, but treat them well enough so they don't" and that is the motto we work with here at Local Dive Thailand. We might be a large, tour leading scuba diving agency but we know the value of quality staff. Some of our dive instructors and guides have been with us since we first started operating. Many have been diving in Phuket & Thailand their whole [...]

Our Scuba Diving Phuket Tours will take you to see the rarest of the rare critters, you will be amazed by the macro life our guides can find, in the secret places only they know. Marla’s Mystery

Some times the bad weather can work to your advantage, the large swell on the ocean prevented us from going to our preferred dive sites so a group of us decided to visit the deepest wreck at Racha Yai to see what we could find and we were pleasantly surprised. The wreck was sunk in 2000 by the former owner of a Phuket dive centre. He found the stripped down rusting hulk in a shipyard in Phuket Town. All of the potential environmentally [...]

Diving With Aliens

Ridley Scott's alien monster has had people hiding behind the couch for over 30 years but in Phuket we scuba dive everyday with an animal that has the same fearsome set of double jaws, luckily the penchant for snacking on humans isn't also emulated. All bony fish have a set of pharyngeal teeth in their throat but moray eels have a complete pharyngeal second jaw that they can launch forward and use to swallow their unfortunate victims. Co [...]

Phuket Elephant Sanctuary

The recently opened Phuket Elephant Sanctuary promises to be a new kind of tourist attraction for Phuket. Not only will it house rescued elephants from the tourist and logging industries, it will also be a much needed point of education for tourists and the local community. Thailand has long used elephants for construction, logging and even warfare. In more recent years the national symbol is more likely to be found working in jungle trekk [...]
