Hidden Treasures On Our Low Season Dive Tour To Racha Yai

From June to October we’ll be staying at our closest island dive site on Wednesday and Sundays. Racha Yai is just over an hour from Chalong Pier so you’ll be back in plenty of time for sundowners. The best dive sites on the protected east side will be available during this period so you’ll find dozens of artificial reef cubes and 6 wrecks!

Something For Everyone

Racha Yai is a great place for PADI courses from entry level to specialties. The hard coral gardens in the shallow water offer an amazing introduction to beginners. The wrecks and artificial reefs at depth are a great location for more experienced divers, deep and wreck specialties can possibly be completed in one day. Fun divers can find plenty of weird and wonderful macro critters that are rare on other dive sites. Frogfish, Indian ocean walkman, stonefish and huge giant morays are all regular sighted at Racha Yai. There’s also a couple of motorbikes that make a great photo opportunity.

Snorkelers and freedivers can also take advantage of the clear shallow water and calm conditions. There is a area that is buoyed off so that non divers can enjoy the sights in safety. No boats are allowed in this area.

Racha Yai Dive Tour Schedule

Racha Yai diving tours are suitable for all levels of certified divers and are highly recommended for Discover Scuba Divers, Scuba Reviews and other training dives. The dive sites here on these islands offer protected bays with clear water, sandy bottoms and very little current.

Racha Noi South Tip

Quite honestly we wish we could get to Racha Noi South Tip every trip but the converging currents from either side of Racha Noi make it a challenging dive even on weak tides. Only once or twice a month the current is low enough for us to get there but it's a real treat when we can. Even the guides are queuing up for this trip! The dive site consists of a series of huge granite boulders that have been washed smooth by the strong currents. C [...]

The southern end of Phuket is much less populated than Patong and you can still find some coral reefs just offshore. The best option is to join us on our dive boat to Phi Phi or Racha Noi for a great snorkelling tour with exceptionally professional snorkel guides.. If that' [...]
