MV Dolphin Queen

MV Dolphin Queen

4 Days/4 Nights From THB 19,800

The amount of returning divers is a great testament to this well organised Similan Island liveaboard

The MV Dolphin Queen is a very popular 3 decked wooden mono hulled boat that visits all the best dive sites in the Similan and Surin Island National Parks. She has a sundeck, a top deck with dining area and a main deck that has the spacious kitting up area and dive deck.

22 guests are comfortably accommodated in a mix of air-conditioned cabins to suite all budgets. The main deck has 2 double bed, 1 twin and 3 quad share cabins. The twin and quad have separator curtains to give guests a little privacy. The upper deck has two double sea view cabins that have outward facing doors so you can switch off the air-con and enjoy the cool sea breeze at night.

Food is particularly good and always gets a positive mention from guests. The European style breakfast is made to order and the rest of the delicious Thai meals are served buffet style in the outside dining area. A free flow of coffee, tea, toast, water, electrolyte drinks and fresh fruit are always available. All food is cooked fresh onboard so if you have any special dietary requirements or are worried about demonic Thai chillies then don’t worry just have a word with the cook.

Wetsuits, fins and mask are included in the trip price so you can leave them at home if you prefer.

All in all a great little liveaboard with a very experienced crew and management.

Koh Bida Nai Scuba Diving Location

Koh Bida Nai

In the interest of variety we don't dive Koh Bida Nai very often, it's very similar to it's sister island Koh Bida Nok which we consider to be a better dive site. It was on a par but since we lost the beautiful staghorn fields to coral bleaching it's lost a little of it's lustre. Still it's an interesting dive site with lots of hard corals, boulders and swim throughs. The swim through at the south west corner is particular nice, it forms an [...]

Local Dive Thailand Shop Now In Patong

Patong remains the busiest beach resort in Phuket, many of our dive guests choose to stay in this popular area of the island. We've now opened a shop on the beach front, divers can now drop by and meet May and Simon to finalise their diving plans. It's only a small shop but it's in a very convenient location, sandwiched between a Starbucks and McDonalds just outside the Baanthai Beach Resort on Beach Rd. Just a stones throw from the fa [...]

Wreck Diving In Phuket

Phuket is not well known for wreck diving but we do have a few and some are very good. In one bay at Racha Yai we have 5! Ok, we're using the term wreck a little cheaply for a couple of them but they were boats and now they're on the ocean floor - so it's a wreck. Our premier Phuket wreck, it's the oldest of our recreational diving wrecks and very much worth a visit for all experienced divers. The bottom of the wreck is over 30m deep a [...]

Shipyard Complete!

At least once every year our trusty Phuket dive boat MV Kepsub will be unceremoniously hauled out of the water and into the dry dock in Phuket Town for a 3 week overhaul. It's a nice break for our hard working boat crew and office staff but a bit of a nightmare for the owners. Well just about everything, the entire boat will be inspected for any problems and new features added. There's generally quite a few bodies clambering around bot [...]
