Deep Andaman Queen

Deep Andaman Queen

4 Days/4 Nights From THB 31,500

A Fantastic Thailand Liveaboard With Lots Of Cabin Options

In 2012 Deep Andaman Queen went for a complete overhaul. She now boasts one of the largest dive platforms of any Thailand liveaboard. This steel hulled twin engine boat has high safety specs and a number of cabin configurations to suit every budget. In 2015 she had a Coltri Sub Nitrox membrane system fitted to ensure every certified nitrox diver has enough for every dive on the trip.

The dive deck is split over two levels. A large, spacious kitting up area and a separate dive platform affords plenty of space for everyone as you make your entry into the fabulous dive sites around the famous Similan and Surin Island national parks, she also runs regular trips to the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar.

In between dives there are plenty of relaxing areas to choose from. Air-conditioned comfort in the saloon or the outside shaded area and sun deck for divers who prefer to be cooled by the sea breeze.

All the cabins are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. The quad, triple and twin standard cabins are located on the lower deck, double and twin deluxe on the main deck and let’s not forget the master with it’s fantastic panoramic views also on the main deck.

huge schools of fish on the king cruiser wreck in phuket

The King Cruiser Wreck Dive

The King Cruiser Wreck's unplanned underwater life began in May 1997. The adventurous captain of the King Cruiser car ferry strayed miles off course on his way to Phi Phi from Phuket. With an incredible feat of marine navigation he 'found' the only submerged reef for miles around. Unfortunately the intrepid captain's wanderlust resulted in a large hole in the ferry and the inevitable consequences. So was created Phuket's first wreck dive. For [...]

How Does Maya Bay Closure Affect Divers?

Maya Bay is probably the most famous beach in Thailand, unfortunately it's become a victim of its own success. It's been 18 years since the release of the movie that brought Maya bay its fame but the popularity hasn't diminished. Thousands of tourists alight everyday to visit the stunning location portrayed in 'The Beach' but most leave a little disappointed. Maya Bay really wasn't recognisable from the movie because speedboats and lon [...]

Phuket Diving Trips – How it Works

I've dived in many places around the world and it's fair to say that scuba diving in Phuket differs greatly from anywhere else I've experienced. Most of the best diving spots in the world are fairly remote with limited infrastructure but Phuket is very different negating the necessity of staying in a dive resort or very close to the boat departure point. As a result divers come from all over the island to join us, so if you're wondering how it [...]

lionfish in phuket Rare & Peculiar Critters

Lionfish – A Smart Fish?

We call them lionfish on this side of the world but they're also none as firefish, zebrafish, butterfly cod and turkeyfish (????) in other areas. We tend to lump them together but there are quite a few different species that we find around Phuket. All have stunning warning colours, are very photogenic, show little or no fear of divers and have toxic fins that can pack quite a punch. Fortunately lionfish are easy to spot and stings are very ra [...]
