Deep Andaman Queen

Deep Andaman Queen

4 Days/4 Nights From THB 31,500

A Fantastic Thailand Liveaboard With Lots Of Cabin Options

In 2012 Deep Andaman Queen went for a complete overhaul. She now boasts one of the largest dive platforms of any Thailand liveaboard. This steel hulled twin engine boat has high safety specs and a number of cabin configurations to suit every budget. In 2015 she had a Coltri Sub Nitrox membrane system fitted to ensure every certified nitrox diver has enough for every dive on the trip. They didn’t stop there! In 2019 the boat was completely overhauled and looks completely different. The bow has been completely remodelled so there is much more space.

Cabins, saloon and sundeck have all been refitted to give a much more luxurious feel. Work will be complete for what we’re hoping is another fantastic Similan Island and Myanmar diving season.

Lots of Space Everywhere

The dive deck is split over two levels. A large, spacious kitting up area and a separate dive platform affords plenty of space for everyone as you make your entry into the fabulous dive sites around the famous Similan and Surin Island national parks. She also runs regular trips to the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar.

In between dives there are plenty of relaxing areas to choose from. Air-conditioned comfort in the saloon or the outside shaded area and sun deck for divers who prefer to be cooled by the sea breeze.

All the cabins are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. The quad, triple and twin standard cabins are located on the lower deck, double and twin deluxe on the main deck. Let’s not forget the master with its fantastic panoramic views also on the main deck.

Racha Yai

Racha Yai is not the place to go if you're looking for stunning coral reefs. To replace the coral damage from the bleaching event that occurred in 2010 the Thai government has placed a whole heap of artificial reef structures to attract marine life and take the pressure off the remaining corals. This is where most of the structures lie, there's 5 small wrecks and countless concrete cubes. This maze of shelters attracts creatures that are [...]

huge schools of fish on the king cruiser wreck in phuket

The King Cruiser Wreck Dive

The King Cruiser Wreck's unplanned underwater life began in May 1997. The adventurous captain of the King Cruiser car ferry strayed miles off course on his way to Phi Phi from Phuket. With an incredible feat of marine navigation he 'found' the only submerged reef for miles around. Unfortunately the intrepid captain's wanderlust resulted in a large hole in the ferry and the inevitable consequences. So was created Phuket's first wreck dive. For [...]

What Is The Best Time Of Year to Dive In Phuket?

We have two distinct scuba diving seasons in Phuket, imaginatively named low and high. The low season runs from mid May to mid October and high season the remainder of the year. The two seasons are governed by the monsoon winds that blow across South East Asia, it's fairly straightforward; in high season it blows from the east and low season from the west. Well lets start with the low season. The predominant west to east winds bring we [...]

Cuttlefish – Cross Dressing Light Bending Camouflage Kings

Cuttlefish belong the to the mollusc family and look like something between an octopus and a squid. Unlike most molluscs, the cephalopod branch which includes cuttlefish, squid and octopus are fairly smart. Certainly compared to their simpleton slug cousins but as with all geeks there comes weirdness - lots of weirdness. Let's get the ball rolling with this cardiovascular indulgence. Cuttlefish have three hearts, one each for their two [...]
