2018 -2019 Thailand Liveaboard Schedules

The 2018 – 2019 Thailand Liveaboard Schedules Already Out

The Thailand liveaboard boats have got their act together this season and all except one (there’s always one..) have released full schedules for 2018 – 2019 season.

We say this every year but if you’re thinking of a Similan Island liveaboard in high season then you need to book it NOW, places for the peak periods (Xmas, New Year and Chinese New Year) are already filling up fast and you’ll have little chance of joining these trips if you leave it to the last minute.

Ensure your spot and save money

Some boats offer early booking discounts so if you want to take advantage of this you’ll have to book soon. Firm favourites of ours – MV Pawara and her sister ship MV Sawasdee Fai Sai offer a 10% discount as well as free Nitrox.

The luxurious MV Dive Race offers a 5% discount for those smart enough to make their travel plans early – an excellent boat and one that you’ll struggle to get on if you leave it too late.

Whale Sharks Galore

The 2017 – 2018 season was epic for whale shark sightings. Koh Bon, Richelieu Rock and Koh Tachai Pinnacle all had regular visits from the gentle ocean giants and we’re hoping for more of the same next year. Even our day trip sites had many more sightings than the average. As word gets around spaces will be filling quickly.

Why Book With Us?

Quite simply our team has vast experience in the Similan Islands. We have ex – tour leaders and guides as well as office staff that have been on every boat and know exactly what to expect. You tell us your needs and we’ll find the right trip for you.

Is Scuba Diving Safe?

We're obviously biased but we think scuba diving is a very safe activity. Of course as with all adventure sports/hobbies there is an element of risk, but the hard facts support that accidents in scuba diving are firstly rare and mostly the fault of the diver and could have been easily avoided. So lets have a look at some of the common safety procedures that keep you safe. Unsurprisingly, running out of air is the main culprit in scuba [...]

How Does An Octopus Change Colour?

Dazzling colour changes and perfect camouflage make octopus a favourite with everybody diving in Phuket but how do they perform this magic trick, well it's not mirrors, sorcery or witchcraft it's a complex combination of muscle, nerves, brain and skin pigments. By far the most common octopus we see when diving in Phuket is the day octopus (octopus cyanea) so we'll base our facts around this very convenient creature (we don't do night dives). [...]
