What Skills Will I learn?
Loads! This course starts way before the dive, planning is a key component and will really get your brain working. Your navigation will improve as you use various different search patterns and your buoyancy skills will be tested. Under the guidance of your PADI instructor you’ll determine which search pattern to use, whether to use natural or compass navigation to find large and small objects, choose which knot to secure and lift heavy objects from the ocean floor.
The first dive of the PADI Search and Recovery Diver course may credit as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification – ask your instructor about earning credit.
