The Junk Phi Phi Island Liveaboard

The Junk Phi Phi Island Liveaboard

3 Days/2 Nights From US$ 480

The Junk Runs A Short And Very Sweet Thailand Liveaboard Around The Phi Phi Islands

The Junk or June Hong Chian Lee is a very unusual and very special Phi Phi island liveaboard. During the West coast of Thailand low season (May – October) she offers short and very well priced overnight trips to the dive sites around Phuket and Phi Phi.

As well as the fantastic Phi Phi Islands you’ll get a chance to dive Shark Point, Koh Doc Mai, Racha Noi, Racha Yai and the King Cruiser wreck, a great mix of reef, wall and wreck.

Known locally as ‘The Junk’ this elegant yacht gives a unique diving experience and she has starred in several Hollywood movies including James Bond’s The Man with the Golden Gun, filmed not very far away in Phang Nha Bay. Making the Junk the perfect Phi Phi Island liveaboard.

She has a spacious and atmospheric indoor saloon and generous deck space to relax on between dives. Food is served buffet style in the saloon and is absolutely delicious! The air-conditioned cabins are all en-suite and come in different configurations to suite every budget.

Diving is conducted from a dinghy which is accessed from a purpose built platform on the side of the boat, the ever present and helpful crew make this an efficient and easy process.

Liveaboards To The Southern Andamans

Koh Ha, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang don't get as much as the limelight as the more famous Similan Islands but you have no less of a chance of encountering manta rays and whale sharks here than you do further north. You won't find many boats that sail this route but if you're fortunate enough to be here when one does then it's definitely worth a try. Phi Phi is also considered the southern andaman. During our green season from June to October a [...]

Octopus Are a Common Sighting In Phuket Diving Rare & Peculiar Critters

How Does An Octopus Change Colour?

Dazzling colour changes and perfect camouflage make octopus a favourite with everybody diving in Phuket but how do they perform this magic trick, well it's not mirrors, sorcery or witchcraft it's a complex combination of muscle, nerves, brain and skin pigments. By far the most common octopus we see when diving in Phuket is the day octopus (octopus cyanea) so we'll base our facts around this very convenient creature (we don't do night dives). [...]
