Phuket Dive Tour Itinerary

Daily Phuket Dive Tour Itinerary

A Phuket dive tour may run a little differently than what you’ve experienced in other destinations. While some travelers prefer to go with the flow, others like to plan their day and fit in additional activities. To help, we’ve provided a Sample Day Trip Itinerary below. Please note that times are approximate and may vary depending on conditions, but this will give you a clear idea of how our day trips generally unfold.

It’s Not Set In Stone

Our sample Phuket dive tour itinerary is usually very close to the real thing. However, please keep in mind that weather, currents, group dynamics, and other external factors can affect both travel and dive times. We also provide convenient hotel pick-up and drop-off, but local traffic can sometimes cause delays. For this reason, we recommend planning your evening activities with some flexibility.

This also applies to your no-fly time after diving. Because our schedule may occasionally run later than expected, we advise adding a extra hour or two to the minimum 18-hour surface interval before flying. Our recommendation would be a late afternoon flight the day after scuba diving, which would likely give you closer to the more conservative 24 hour surface interval. This ensures both your safety and peace of mind when planning onward travel.

How Do I Minimise The Risk Of A Delay?

As mentioned before, traffic is the most likely thing to cause a delay. Staying close to where our boat departs from will go a long way to reduce the risk. Kata, Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong are all good choices. The further north on Phuket that you stay the greater influence traffic will have. The main thing that divers and groups can do to reduce the risk of delays is be ready for the pick up. Probably the biggest reason for delay is guests not waking up in time so please try to be punctual.

So below is an example of one of our three different tour itineraries that we offer. To find out more about each trip you can go to our dedicated scuba diving day trip pages.

buoyancy control for new scuba divers Scuba Diving For Beginners

Improving Your Buoyancy Control

Some divers get diving immediately but not all. Students who are strong swimmers and confident in water tend to find the course easy and a whole lot of fun. This gives the opportunity to experiment and really get hold of buoyancy during the PADI Open Water Course. That's not the case for all new divers. Although you've successfully completed all the skills, had immense fun and opened up a whole new world, you still may not have quite gras [...]

male ornate ghost pipefish Rare & Peculiar Critters

Ornate Ghost Pipefish

Ornate Ghost pipefish seemingly appear from nowhere. After months of no sightings they suddenly show up, some years it's just a few and some years it seems every crinoid has a pair. They spend the first part of their life as plankton, drifting along in ocean currents until the time is right to settle on one of our many reefs. How long they travel the ocean currents is not known but unlikely to be long. They disappear just as quickly as the ap [...]
