PADI Open Water Referral

Maximise Your Time With The PADI Open Water Referral On Your Phuket Scuba Diving Holiday

PADI is truly a global organisation. The Open Water Referral system allows you to spend your precious holiday time diving on our beautiful Phuket scuba diving sites. Team up with your local PADI dive centre and then join us for the real fun.

How Does It Work?

Anything that you complete through a PADI dive centre or resort is recognised globally by any PADI dive centre. So complete all your theory and pool work back home and simply join us in the ocean to finish your certification.

Fun Times Diving In Phuket

Fun Times Diving In Phuket

Why Take This Option?

Our PADI instructors try to make the classroom side of the course as fun and engaging as possible but who really wants to be stuck inside when you have clear blue skies outside? By completing the theory and pool sessions in your home country, you can join us straight for the real fun part – the open water dives.

You’ll free up and extra day on your holiday, the Open Water referral only takes two days. The pools are probably heated and indoor back home so you won’t have an uncomfortable experience but the open ocean maybe won’t be as warm or as clear as Phuket.

The Easiest Way

To stop any confusion with certification fees the best option is to register for PADI elearning either through the PADI website or through a PADI dive centre. The PADI elearning is transferable to any dive centre so it can be processed anywhere.

If you prefer the hands on instructor approach then enrolling in theory sessions with your local dive centre is easy enough but you’ll usually have to follow a schedule which may not be 100% convenient for you.

The West Side Of Koh Bida Nok At Phi Phi

The Best Phi Phi Diving – Koh Bida Nok

Phi Phi diving is a fairly long but pleasant journey for us but it's worth it. It's a leisurely 2hr 30min journey from Phuket but that's not an issue on our comfortable dive boats. Sometimes we're fortunate enough to see a pod of dolphins following the boat and we've even seen whales on the journey out. Even before you get in the water you'll be already impressed by the dive site. Twin limestone karsts topped with tropical foliage jut out [...]

This gives the opportunity to experiment and really get hold of buoyancy during the PADI Open Water Course. That's not the case for all new divers. Although you've successfully completed all the skills, had immense fun and opened up a whole new world, you still may not have quite gras [...]

Single Use Plastics Banned In Thai National Parks

From yesterday (06th April 2022) the Thai National Parks office has banned the use of single us plastics and styrofoam products in all National Parks. This includes marine parks so this may affect you on our Phi Phi day trip and Similan Island liveaboards. Although most of the plastics we find on the dive sites are not jettisoned from boats, it's still a welcome move. As a dive community, Phuket has long practised good environmental [...]
