PADI Rescue Diver Course

PADI Rescue Diver Course

Learn how to prevent emergencies & become the diver that others rely on with the PADI Rescue Diver course

The PADI Rescue diver course is one of the most challenging & rewarding of PADI certification courses you can do. The PADI Rescue diver course improves your skills and confidence as a diver & is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to identify, manage & prevent diver or scuba diving emergencies, this course is slightly more demanding than the OW, or AOW as you might possibly have to rescue multiple people while still in the water and potentially out of it, but it is also a lot of fun because your instructor can develop rescue scenarios that will challenge and engage your level of awareness, water skills and general fitness. The course also teaches you to have more awareness of other divers and the problems that can occur; you will learn how to recognise and control potential danger before it can become an emergency and manage scenarios such as diver stress, panicked swimmers or an unconscious diver.

The Rescue diver course is often quoted as being one the best scuba diving courses a diver can complete, with the simulated rescue scenarios concentrating on serious subjects whilst having fun and making you a much more visibly aware diver and source of knowledge for those with lower levels of training.

Surin Island Dive Site Koh Tachai

Koh Tachai Pinnacle

Koh Tachai is a picture postcard tropical island with lush greenery and white sand beaches situated 20km north of Koh Bon and the Similan Island National Park. Underwater it's even more spectacular, huge granite boulders, healthy corals and tonnes of fish. A couple of mooring buoys is all you will see above the surface, the top of the dome shaped pinnacle is at 12m and falls away to 45m on the deepest side. The site is usually exposed to strong currents so you'll make your descent and ascent on of these buoys that will safely guide you down to an area of shelter from the current. On the west side you will find large boulders and swim-throughs and on the east there's gardens of sea whips [...]

What Are My Chances of Diving With A Manta Ray In Phuket?

Your first diving experience with a manta ray is something you'll never forget. In Phuket we're fortunate enough to get regular visits from these gentle giants, they can turn up virtually anywhere but we do have our favourite spots. Lets be clear, you have to be lucky on our local dive sites but it's by no means impossible. As I'm writing this the last week has produced four sightings all at our favoured spot. Racha Noi island has a manta ray cleaning station at the southern tip, this is a dive site but one we rarely visit due to the very strong currents but the other dive sites on the island get plenty of sightings as the mantas pass on their way to the south tip. They often swim int [...]

Slow down & see more!

Sure you may cover a larger area underwater, see more seascape. But if you are interested in the marine life, slowing down and allowing you more time to observe will take your diving experience to a new level. Talking with your dive guide and planning your dive to focus on certain aspects, such as marine life behavior, has it’s rewards in addition to provide for a more relaxing experience underwater. When you slow down and take more time to observe, you’ll see past the obvious and make interesting discoveries. Time will allow for your marine life encounter to develop; you’ll see more than just a fish, but witness its behavior, its interaction with the environment. As a photog [...]

Nitrox Tanks Ready To Use The Archives

Why Do Scuba Divers Use Nitrox?

Nitrox or Enriched Air Nitrox to give it's full name is the most popular PADI speciality course that we teach and for good reason. It's relatively cheap, can be done in one day, straight forward and really is beneficial to the diver. Excessive absorption of nitrogen into our body tissues is the factor that limits a divers time underwater. So by simply putting more oxygen into our scuba tank, therefor reducing the amount of nitrogen we in turn reduce the amount that our body absorbs. Which will extend our diving time at given depths. Got it? There is of course much more to learn about diving with Nitrox and that's why you should take the Read The Full Story
