Phuket Private Speedboat Diving

Charter Your Very Own Phuket Private Diving Tour

Phuket is a busy diving destination and trying to avoid the crowds can be difficult. We try our very best on our own very comfortable dive boat MV Kebsup. We can’t always do it so occasionally it can feel a little crowded. Most divers enjoy the opportunity to meet fellow like minded people but some don’t. For those who’re not quite as gregarious a others then you can charter your own speedboat.

A private speedboat charter is the only way to ensure you get the Phuket diving sites to yourself. You can get to the dive sites before any of the slower, larger boats arrive. It’s relatively inexpensive if you have a decent size group to share the costs.

Even though the speedboat is not owned by us, our staff will go with you to make sure everything runs smoothly and you receive the level of service and care that we pride ourselves on. There’s no better guides on the island than our super experienced PADI pro’s.

Where Can I Go?

Well that’s up to you, all of our local Phuket diving sites are certainly on the menu. You could even charter to the fabulous Similan Islands or the fantastic Southern Andaman dive sites. At the very southern tip of Racha Noi we have a seldom visited manta ray cleaning station! Definitely worth considering.

If you just want a half day and be back for lunch time, you can simply go to Racha Yai. In a speedboat the journey will only take about 25 minutes and you’ll be in the water long before the day trip boats arrive. You’ll then have the rest of the day to just relax back at your hotel or enjoy some Phuket sightseeing.

Only Diving?

Nooo, it’s your charter! If you want to go to a secluded beach in between dives then you can do so. If not all onboard are divers then they can go snorkelling, either direct from the boat or from the beach. At Phi Phi, Racha Noi and Racha Yai we can take you to great little beaches with very few or no other people. Have your picnic lunch either on the beach or on the boat, it’s really up to you.

Free diving and snorkelling is just as popular for Phuket private speedboat charters as diving. Again it will get you away from crowds, good snorkelling spots can often be very crowded. With your own boat you can either get there first or just divert to a place which is just as good but not convenient for the larger boats.

What Do We Do On Your Phuket Private Diving Charter

We will organise the boat of your choice and our excellent staff will accompany you. All diving or swimming supervision will be undertaken by our experienced PADI professionals to ensure your safety and enjoyment. All equipment will be supplied by us. We don’t trust anybody else when it comes to your safety or the standard of the scuba equipment you’ll be using.

How Much Does It Cost?

That depends on numbers, destination and the standard of boat you’d prefer. If there’s a just two or three of you then it will seem quite expensive but for groups of 6 or more it will feel like a bargain. Fast comfortable speedboats will cost from THB 25,000 per day. If you want something luxurious then we can arrange yachts that vary in price from THB 65,000 to super luxurious THB 400,000

Chevron Barracuda At West of Eden

West Of Eden

After the coral bleaching in 2010 that devastated the wonderful East Of Eden this rocky dive site became more popular. Most sites on the western side of the Similan Islands are comprised of granite boulders and hard corals so they are a little more resilient to temperature change. Depending on the current the dive will begin around the mooring line in the small bay to the south of the dive site. It's worth spending some time in this area. [...]

Are PADI And SSI Interchangeable?

The short answer is absolutely you can dive with a PADI dive shop if you're certified from lots of different agencies. We're all underwater brothers and sisters. So as long as you have proof of certification then you can dive at almost any location with anybody. In truth there is very little difference between any of the agencies. We all have to follow the same basic standards as set by the WRSTC (World Recreational Scuba Training Coun [...]

Yellow Boxfish – Toxic And Inspiring?

Yellow boxfish are virtually guaranteed on any Phuket scuba diving trip. Cute, quirky and very photogenic, the yellow boxfish hides a couple of surprising facts. It should be of no surprise that the yellow boxfish has some hidden survival strategies. Being bright yellow and swimming around with no discernible plan isn't going to keep you alive very long. It's swapped the usual fish strategy of being fast or spiky for something different. [...]

Octopus Are a Common Sighting In Phuket Diving Rare & Peculiar Critters

How Does An Octopus Change Colour?

Dazzling colour changes and perfect camouflage make octopus a favourite with everybody diving in Phuket but how do they perform this magic trick, well it's not mirrors, sorcery or witchcraft it's a complex combination of muscle, nerves, brain and skin pigments. By far the most common octopus we see when diving in Phuket is the day octopus (octopus cyanea) so we'll base our facts around this very convenient creature (we don't do night dives). [...]
