PADI Open Water Referral

Maximise Your Time With The PADI Open Water Referral On Your Phuket Diving Holiday

PADI is truly a global organisation and the Open Water Referral system allows you to spend your precious holiday time diving on our beautiful Phuket dive sites. team up with your local PADI dive centre and then join us for the real fun.

How Does It Work?

Anything that you complete through a PADI dive centre or resort is recognised globally by any PADI dive centre. If you where to complete all your theory and pool work back in your home countries then you simply have to finish your course with four open water training dives in Phuket to complete your Open Water Diver certification.

Why Take This Option?

Our PADI instructors try to make the classroom side of the course as fun and engaging as possible but who really wants to be stuck inside when you have clear blue skies outside? By completing the theory and pool sessions in your home country it means you join us straight for the real fun part – the open water dives.

You’ll free up and extra day on your holiday, the referral only takes two days. The pools are probably heated and indoor back home so you won’t have an uncomfortable experience but the open ocean maybe won’t be as warm (30c!) or as clear as Phuket.

The Easiet Way

To stop any confusion with certification fees the best option is to register for PADI elearning either through the PADI website or through a PADI dive centre. The PADI elearning is transferable to any dive centre so it can be processed anywhere.

If you prefer the hands on instructor approach then enrolling in theory sessions with your local dive centre is easy enough but you’ll usually have to follow a schedule which may not be 100% convenient for you.

Rescue course PADi with Local Dive Thailand

PADI Rescue Diver Course

The PADI Rescue diver course is one of the most challenging & rewarding of PADI certification courses you can do. The PADI Rescue diver course improves your skills and confidence as a diver & is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to identify, manage & prevent diver or scuba diving emergencies, this course is slightly more demanding than the OW, or AOW as you might possibly have to rescue multiple people while still in the water and potentially out of it, but it is also a lot of fun because your instructor can develop rescue scenarios that will challenge and engage your level of awareness, water skills and general fitness. The course also teaches you to have more awareness of othe [...]

A few simple and inexpensive steps can really make a difference, the "everybody else is doing it" line really doesn't cut it as an excuse anymore. Below are a few suggestions that can reduce your impact on our reefs. Scuba Diving Boat At Racha Noi Phuket Amazing Local Dives

What is The Best Dive Site In Phuket?

The best dive site in Phuket is of course subjective. Scuba diving in Phuket offers a variety of different dive types and it can be difficult to choose which trip to join especially if you have only one day. So we'll try to help you make up your mind with our top picks covering various different styles of dive site. I'm going to omit the South Tip of Racha Noi from this list simply because although it's a fantastic dive site we simply can't get there often enough to justify it's inclusion. So for great vis we'll probably have to say Banana Bay/Rock at Racha Noi. We expect 20m visibilty and quite often get more, although it's not teeming with life we can still find some great wildlif [...]
