Daily Phuket Dive Tour Itinerary

A Phuket dive tour may be a little different from other dive destinations. Some people are happy to take things as they come when traveling, some people like to know their daily itinerary so you can other activities around it. So here we have provided a Sample Day Trip Itinerary. By no means are these times guaranteed but a guide to how our day trip tours generally proceed.

It’s Not Set In Stone

Usually the sample Phuket dive tour itinerary is very close to the real thing. However, please remember that weather, current, dive groups and many external factors can affect travel and dive times. Please also remember that we take care of your pick up and drop off back to your hotel. Traffic is the biggest factor in any delay will so please plan your night time activities to take into account possible delays.

This is also to be considered for your no fly time. Our schedule can be pushed back a little if we experience delays so try not to leave the minimum time. Give yourself a minimum 1 hour extra to the absolute minimum of 18hrs surface time before flying. If not then unfortunately we have to prevent you from diving – something we really don’t want to do.

How Do I Minimise The Risk Of A Delay?

As mentioned before, traffic is the most likely thing to cause a delay. Staying close to where our boat departs from will go a long way to reduce the risk. Kata, Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong are all good choices. The further north on Phuket that you stay the greater influence traffic will have. The main thing that divers and groups can do to reduce the risk of delays is be ready for the pick up. Probably the biggest reason for delay is guests not waking up in time so please try to be punctual.

So below is an example of one of our three different tour itineraries that we offer. To find out more about each trip you can go to our dedicated scuba diving day trip pages.

How Does Maya Bay Closure Affect Divers?

Maya Bay is probably the most famous beach in Thailand, unfortunately it's become a victim of its own success. It's been 18 years since the release of the movie that brought Maya bay its fame but the popularity hasn't diminished. Thousands of tourists alight everyday to visit the stunning location portrayed in 'The Beach' but most leave a little disappointed. Maya Bay really wasn't recognisable from the movie because speedboats and lon [...]

Similan Islands Liveaboard MV Pawara Songkran Trip Review

Liveaboards in the stunning Similan Islands National Park are rarely disappointing, especially on a great boat like MV Pawara. However, if you're missing the celebrations on the mainland, a Songkran liveaboard trip needs to be great. Occasionally bad weather or poor visibility can be a bit of a pain but fingers and any other available appendages were firmly crossed to ward off any bad luck. That appeared to be a waste of energy as rain greete [...]

surface marker buoys a critical piece of dive equipment Equipment We Like

Surface Marker Buoys

Surface marker buoys (SMB) wasn't a standard to teach on PADI Open Water courses but it has been for quite a while now. Quite rightly so, surface marker buoys are a cheap yet essential piece of equipment. It's not an understatement to say that they can save lives. Along with mask and fins, it should be one of the first pieces of equipment you purchase. You can get yourself a basic surface marker buoy and finger reel for less than US$20. [...]
