Manta Queen 1

Manta Queen 1

4 Days/4 Nights From THB 28,000

Similan Islands Diving at a Great Price

Manta Queen 1 operates 4 Day/4 Night trips to Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. The large common areas make this one of the most sociable and fun liveaboards in Thailand.
The 22 guests are accommodated in compact but comfortable air-conditioned cabins which come in twin, double and quad share configurations, something for everyone.

The plentiful and tasty food is cooked fresh in the onboard kitchen and served buffet style on the outside shaded dining area, fresh fruit and snacks are available after every dive. If you’ve eaten too much (a common occurrence) then the dinghy can take you over to one of the many beautiful beaches for a quick stroll.

Another efficient and exceptionally good value trip from the Manta Queen fleet.

King Cruiser Cluster

The dive sites around the King Cruiser Wreck are some of the richest and diverse in the whole of Thailand. Fed by the waters of Phang Nha Bay, the nutrient rich currents feed stunning soft corals and huge schools of fish. The diving can be a little tricky at these exposed sites but the rewards can be huge. Whale shark sightings in this area have been increasing every year. [...]

Richelieu Rock – Thailand’s Great All Rounder

Very few dive sites can match Richelieu Rock for variety. So much so that it can be a bit of a nightmare for photographers choosing which lens to take. On its day regarded as one of the top ten dive sites in the world and is certainly the best in Thailand. Allegedly 'discovered' by Jacques Cousteau with the help of local fisherman. There is much debate on how Richelieu Rock got its name so it's nice to think that the great man had some involv [...]

A Great Days Diving At Phi Phi And Shark Point

Thankfully there was no wind or waves on our way to divingPhi Phi and Shark Point. Although grey and overcast, a comfortable journey ensued with the hope of better conditions under the waves than we had above. We weren't to be disappointed. Visibility in the bay at Koh Bida Nok was excellent. A quick swim up into the shallows brought a brief glimpse of a couple of blacktip reef sharks cruising around in less than 3m of water. Heading deepe [...]

Devil In Disguise – The Most Toxic Sea urchin

The most toxic sea urchin is not the fire urchin as you might think. That would make sense, a name that would stop anybody with a functional brain from touching it. So what have scientists named the most toxic urchin? They've gone for flower urchin - thanks. There's ample space for another more suitable word. Hell, agony or stinging flower urchin would have all given us a hint to stay well away. The scientists have certainly looked aft [...]

The auto closure device (ACD) on Aqualung systems has been around for a while but getting it fitted now, in the long run can save money and reduce the risk of failure for the more forgetful/lazy divers amongst us. I'm sure most divers at some stage have rinsed their regulator off after a days diving and forgotten to put the dust cap in place. The ACD system is a simple upgrade that can save you the worry of damaging your valuable 1st stage. [...]
