Manta Queen 1

Manta Queen 1

5 Days/5 Nights From THB 24,500

Similan Islands Diving at a Great Price

From 2020/2021 season, Manta Queen 1 will run 5 Day/5 Night trips to Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. The large common areas make this one of the most sociable and fun liveaboards in Thailand.
The 22 guests are accommodated in compact but comfortable air-conditioned cabins which come in twin, double and quad share configurations, something for everyone.

The plentiful and tasty food is cooked fresh in the onboard kitchen and served buffet style on the outside shaded dining area, fresh fruit and snacks are available after every dive. If you’ve eaten too much (a common occurrence) then the dinghy can take you over to one of the many beautiful beaches for a quick stroll.

Another efficient and exceptionally good value trip from the Manta Queen fleet.

The West Ridge Of Phuket Diving Site Koh Bon

Koh Bon Diving – Phuket’s Manta Magnet

A two hour sail northwest from Similan Island #9 will bring you to the granite island of Koh Bon. Although a fair distance away it's still considered part of the Similan Island National Park. Easily recognisable by a circular opening in the granite wall. The majority of dives here will incorporate the west ridge. A thin granite spine of rock that starts above the surface and continues underwater to a depth of 40m. Along the ridge you'll fi [...]

Octopus Are a Common Sighting In Phuket Diving Rare & Peculiar Critters

How Does An Octopus Change Colour?

Dazzling colour changes and perfect camouflage make octopus a favourite with everybody diving in Phuket but how do they perform this magic trick, well it's not mirrors, sorcery or witchcraft it's a complex combination of muscle, nerves, brain and skin pigments. By far the most common octopus we see when diving in Phuket is the day octopus (octopus cyanea) so we'll base our facts around this very convenient creature (we don't do night dives). [...]

Clownfish And Their Dirty Secrets

Finding clownfish/anemonefish in Phuket is not a difficult task for our diving guides, we have four different species of the 28 known that we regularly find, all colourful and all have the quirky clownfish attitude that makes them a favourite with divers but behind the cute colours are some very strange facts. I'm sure you're aware that they have a symbiotic relationship with anemone's but this doesn't come as easy to the clownfish as you [...]

phuket dive boat mv kepsub News & Updates

Shipyard Complete!

At least once every year our trusty Phuket dive boat MV Kepsub will be unceremoniously hauled out of the water and into the dry dock in Phuket Town for a 3 week overhaul. It's a nice break for our hard working boat crew and office staff but a bit of a nightmare for the owners. Well just about everything, the entire boat will be inspected for any problems and new features added. There's generally quite a few bodies clambering around bot [...]
