Deep Andaman Queen Overhaul

If you’ve joined Deep Andaman Queen before then it’s very unlikely that you’ll recognise her in the 2020/2021 season. Not only are the cabins, saloon and eating areas getting a makeover but the whole front section has been removed. It will be replaced with a completely different design making Deep Andaman Queen almost unrecognisable. Our Phuket scuba day tour boat is currently undergoing annual maintenance in the shipyard and we can see the new bow section on deep Andaman Queen being fitted.

Why Book With Us?

There’s plenty of big scuba diving liveaboard agents on the web. They’re generally sat in an office thousands of miles away from where the actual boat is. We’re here in Phuket and know the owners and staff of all these boats on a personal level. We have all the inside information, been on every one of the boats and know the diving like the back of our hand. Our knowledge will let us find you the best option for your Thailand adventure. If you encounter any problems when you’re in Thailand then we’re on hand to help you out 24hrs a day!

I've been enjoying the incredible marine life in our oceans for over 25 years. 13 years ago I became a PADI professional in Phuket, hoping to introduce as many people as possible to the incredible beauty of the seas.

Having been fortunate enough to dive all over south east and especially Thailand, I enjoy sharing my diving experiences and passion on this blog.

Originally from Bristol in the UK, I swapped the frigid waters of the North Atlantic for the warm tropical seas around Thailand and can confidently say that I wouldn't go back

Deep Andaman Queen

In 2012 Deep Andaman Queen went for a complete overhaul. She now boasts one of the largest dive platforms of any Thailand liveaboard. This steel hulled twin engine boat has high safety specs and a number of cabin configurations to suit every budget. In 2015 she had a Coltri Sub Nitrox membrane system fitted to ensure every certified nitrox diver has enough for every dive on the trip. They didn't stop there! In 2019 the boat was completely ov [...]

Racha Noi Banana Rock

Racha Noi Banana Rock is just outside the large bay where you'll probably take your first dive of the day. The topography is completely different from the bay. The shallowest depth is around 7m where the rocks and hard coral reef meet the sand. There's a small patch reef at the start of the dive where we can sometimes find octopus hiding in the corals. Swimming deeper across the sand, keep a look out for sea moths and juvenile cockatoo waspf [...]

Possibly in reaction to somewhat unflattering images of thousands of tourists packed onto small Similan Island beaches. To ensure that no more divers than the allocated 525 per day enter Similan & Surin Island National Parks. Park tickets must be paid for in advance [...]

Where Can I Snorkel In Phuket?

The best places to snorkel in Phuket are all found around the west coast beaches. At most you won't see much more than sand and the occasional crab so head a little south. The southern end of Phuket is much less populated than Patong and you can still find some coral reefs just offshore. The best option is to join us on our dive boat to Phi Phi or Racha Noi for a great snorkelling tour with exceptionally professional snorkel guides.. If that' [...]
