First Aid Training Phuket – Be A Life Saver

Get First Aid Training In Phuket With The Emergency First Response Course

First Aid Training In Phuket is just the same as anywhere else in the world. The Emergency First Response Course follows international standards so is valid globally. You don’t have to be a diver to take this course, it’s an extremely useful skill in all walks of life. Hotels and large companies should all have their fair share of willing responders. If you’re in Phuket then we’re more than willing to come to your organisation and let our professional instructors teach your staff valuable life skills.

What Will I learn?

Participants will learn simple to follow steps to responding and applying skills in an emergency situation. It’s not easy to step forward in emergency situations so hopefully this course will give you the confidence and willingness to do so. You will guided by our instructors in a non-stressful environment with the help of videos, manuals and staged emergency scenarios.

During your first aid training you will focus on three key areas:

Primary Care
This section teaches techniques and procedures for dealing with life threatening emergencies. Eight skills will be practised, beginning with assessment and treatment through to monitoring the patient until emergency medical professionals arrive. Aiding patients who have no heartbeat, aren’t breathing, in shock, serious bleeding or may have spinal injuries will all be covered. Your intervention could give them the best possible chance of survival.

Secondary Care
Accessing a number of non life threatening injuries. Basic first aid to keep the victim comfortable, reduce the risk of further injuries and bandaging and splinting. It may be just a case of talking and reassuring the patient until help arrives but still a vital skill. All will be practised in the classroom.

Integrating With PADI Rescue Diver

You must have documented first aid training to complete the PADI Rescue Diver Course. Many organisations teach equivalent courses and most are accepted by PADI. If you do need the Emergency Response Course then we usually integrate with rescue theory on the first day. Specific in-water and dive related first aid will be discussed as well as the basic first aid training in Phuket.

Pricing

The course takes just one day as a stand alone. As mentioned before, no diving experience of any kind is necessary. A full day will be spent in the classroom practising all the necessary skills to assist your family, friends or colleagues in the event of a medical emergency.

The dive will begin near the very beautiful coral gardens at around 4-5 meters. Many species of jewel like damselfish, butterfly fis [...]

Diving From Liveaboards Banned In The Similan Islands

If you're not a fan of diving from dinghies then we have some bad news for you. Diving directly from your liveaboards has now been banned. It's a move that is supposed to protect corals and marine life, personally I've never seen a liveaboard in the Similan Islands National Park go near a reef. Liveaboards will have to keep their distance from the dive site or use official mooring lines. The other reason touted is safety. A diver unfortuna [...]
