Nitrox Membrane System On MV Kebsup

Nitrox Membrane System On MV Kebsup

MV Kebsup Is Now One Of The Few Scuba diving Boats In Phuket With A Nitrox Membrane System

Our day trip to the King Cruiser wreck is one of the most popular on the Phuket diving scene. It’s even more enjoyable if you dive with Enriched Air Nitrox. The depth of the wreck 18 – 32m can make it a short dive on normal air tanks but with Nitrox you can easily make a full 50 minutes as long as your air consumption allows.

With this is mind we decided to invest in a Nitrox membrane system. Allowing divers to chose on the day if they would prefer Nitrox and if your not already Nitrox certified, we have the teaching facilities on the boat to get you certified. SO you can start the course on the dive day and begin enjoying the benefits immediately.

Our nitrox membrane system produces a set 32% Nitrox blend, the most widely used recreational mix. We can supply other blends for technical divers but this has to be ordered in advance.

We keep a bank of at least 20 tanks filled with 32% nitrox on the boat. Our hard working crew will fill any advance orders the evening before. So any diver who fills like switching to over to enriched air just has to inform their guide and our boat boys will fill some more.

We continue to try and make our boat the most diver friendly in Phuket. We pride ourselves on keeping up to date with the the needs of the modern diver and our door is always open to new suggestions.

Boonsung Wreck – Khao Lak

The Boonsung wreck was formerly one of many vessels that were used in Thailand's former booming tin mining trade. Allegedly it sank due to a faulty toilet and came to rest on the sandy bottom at 18m. It's located just outside the port at Tablamu near Khao Lak. Originally it was a hazard to shipping and the Thai navy dropped a couple of bombs to level it out a bit. Add that to the damage created by the 2004 tsunami and we're left with somethin [...]

Octopus Are a Common Sighting In Phuket Diving Rare & Peculiar Critters

How Does An Octopus Change Colour?

Dazzling colour changes and perfect camouflage make octopus a favourite with everybody diving in Phuket but how do they perform this magic trick, well it's not mirrors, sorcery or witchcraft it's a complex combination of muscle, nerves, brain and skin pigments. By far the most common octopus we see when diving in Phuket is the day octopus (octopus cyanea) so we'll base our facts around this very convenient creature (we don't do night dives). [...]
