Nitrox Membrane System On MV Kebsup

Nitrox Membrane System On MV Kebsup

MV Kebsup Is Now One Of The Few Scuba diving Boats In Phuket With A Nitrox Membrane System

Our day trip to the King Cruiser wreck is one of the most popular on the Phuket diving scene. It’s even more enjoyable if you dive with Enriched Air Nitrox. The depth of the wreck 18 – 32m can make it a short dive on normal air tanks but with Nitrox you can easily make a full 50 minutes as long as your air consumption allows.

With this is mind we decided to invest in a Nitrox membrane system. Allowing divers to chose on the day if they would prefer Nitrox and if your not already Nitrox certified, we have the teaching facilities on the boat to get you certified. SO you can start the course on the dive day and begin enjoying the benefits immediately.

Our nitrox membrane system produces a set 32% Nitrox blend, the most widely used recreational mix. We can supply other blends for technical divers but this has to be ordered in advance.

We keep a bank of at least 20 tanks filled with 32% nitrox on the boat. Our hard working crew will fill any advance orders the evening before. So any diver who fills like switching to over to enriched air just has to inform their guide and our boat boys will fill some more.

We continue to try and make our boat the most diver friendly in Phuket. We pride ourselves on keeping up to date with the the needs of the modern diver and our door is always open to new suggestions.

I've been enjoying the incredible marine life in our oceans for over 25 years. 13 years ago I became a PADI professional, hoping to introduce as many people as possible to the incredible beauty of the seas.

Having been fortunate enough to dive all over south east and especially Thailand, I enjoy sharing my experience and passion on this blog.

Racha Noi West Side

The west side of Racha Noi is exposed to the low season weather making the topography completely different from the east side. Any sand gets washed away exposing the granite rocks that tumble down to meet the usually clear water. Both of our regular dive sites are quite similar and easy to manage if there is current. We'll always start the dive in the sheltered bay. If you're participating in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving or Open Water [...]

The sister boats Somboon 3 & 4 are the most flexible boats we have to offer. They both run scheduled 3 Day/ 2 Night trips to Richelieu Rock. In between they stay around the Similan Islands National Park. Neither boat comes back to port until the end of the season and transfers are made via speedboat from Khao lak. This allows divers to stay for just 1 Night/2 Days if you’re on a tight schedule or even just a two dive day trip. Both boats [...]

Take A Break From Diving and Go to Wat Chalong Temple Phuket Phuket Sights & Fun

Wat Chalong

Wat Chalong is the most important and the most beautiful Buddhist temple of the 29 or so located in Phuket. This stunning landmark is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island. The temple is dedicated to an eminent monk who is believed to have assisted the citizens of Phuket overcome a Chinese tin workers rebellion in 1876. Of course being a monk he didn't fight himself. But Luang Pho Cham's advice and medical assistance to [...]

Take A Moment To Think On Ocean Clean Ups

Ocean clean ups are undoubtedly important events for the both marine life and the local communities that share the resources. Toxic materials, plastics, fishing nets all need to be removed but we can get a little enthusiastic with items that are possibly home for marine life. So please slow down and take a moment to think. The important thing is that the reefs are clean and not the group photo of how many tonnes of rubbish you collec [...]

Need To Know: Similan And Surin Islands New Rules

Similan and Surin Islands new rules bombshell dropped a few days before the annual reopening. The number of daily visitors has been reduced to 3,850 and divers to just 525. Possibly in reaction to somewhat unflattering images of thousands of tourists packed onto small Similan Island beaches. To ensure that no more divers than the allocated 525 per day enter Similan & Surin Island National Parks. Park tickets must be paid for in advance [...]
