End Of Season Similan Island Diving Sale

End Of Season Similan Island Diving Sale

Further Reductions In March, April and May In Similan Island Diving Sale

If you’ve left your booking late the you can take advantage of the end of season Similan Island diving sale with the Manta Queen fleet. It’s not been a great year for the Phuket diving industry, the strong baht hasn’t done us many favours. Now with the outbreak of the corona virus, the liveaboards have had many cancellations.

The divers who have travelled to Phuket have a fantastic season so far. Our day trip sites have seen the welcome return of leopard sharks and the cooler water in the Similans has attracted unusual visitors. Generally rare sightings such as bowmouth and giant guitarfish have been very common and we’ve even had multiple tiger shark sightings.

So if you’re brave enough to travel you could be in for a treat. Not only great diving but a great price. Prices are valid for any trip with availability through March, April and May 2020.

I've been enjoying the incredible marine life in our oceans for over 25 years. 13 years ago I became a PADI professional, hoping to introduce as many people as possible to the incredible beauty of the seas.

Having been fortunate enough to dive all over south east and especially Thailand, I enjoy sharing my experience and passion on this blog.

private speedboat diving in phuket

Phuket Private Diving Tour

A Phuket private diving tour is sometimes the only way to beat the crowds. We try our very best on our own very comfortable dive boat MV Kebsup. It's not always possible so occasionally it can feel a little crowded. Most divers enjoy the opportunity to meet fellow like minded people but some don't. For those who're not quite as gregarious as others then you can charter your own speedboat. A private boat charter is the only way to ensure yo [...]

Diving Phuket With Hawksbill Turtles

Turtle Rock – Phi Phi Ley

If you want to go diving with turtles then Turtle Rock is the dive site for you. It's very rare that we don't see hawksbill turtles and usually more than one. They feed on the shallow shelves that run along the wall at Koh Phi Phi Ley. So shallow that snorkelers can usually see them. Quite often your safety stop is spent observing the turtles munching away on the bubble corals. They've got pretty used to divers over the years and seem to be c [...]

staying hydrated when scuba diving Scuba Diving Health

Dehydration And Scuba Diving

We as any good dive boat should provide water free of charge on our day trip tours but even though it's free when we calculate the guest to water consumption ratio we find you're coming up well short on what you should be drinking. This has to change. Dehydration in scuba diving can make you more susceptible to decompression sickness. It's not the most common cause but staying hydrated is good practice for diving health. Roughly 2L per per [...]

Marla’s Mystery

Some times the bad weather can work to your advantage. The large swell on the ocean prevented us from going to our preferred dive sites so a group of us decided to visit the deepest wreck at Racha Yai. We were pleasantly surprised with what we found The wreck was sunk in 2000 by the former owner of a Phuket dive centre. He found the stripped down rusting hulk in a shipyard in Phuket Town. All of the potential environmentally dangerous [...]
